2026 VVA Banquet and Silent Auction coming soon: June 13th at 6pm, Homewood Church of Christ
Prayers and Support Encouraged!
It’s been many, many months since we’ve seen the Land of 1000 Hills. After planning a trip to Rwanda in March that had to be cancelled, we were quite disappointed. We are definitely missing our friends and family at VVA.
Our church, the Homewood church of Christ, has been supporting Virunga Valley Academy and the Miller family (the founders of the school) from its beginnings. The Missions Committee at Homewood church of Christ has been preparing for the annual VVA fundraising banquet. Proceeds from this event go directly to teacher salaries at the school. (This is so important for the school’s functioning every year!!).
This year, the banquet includes dinner, a time of interactive learning about the school, music from the Only’s, and a silent auction! (You can participate in the silent auction even if you can’t make the banquet.) I have seen some sneak peeks of what is being auctioned, and it’s worth a look and a bid!
Here is the information:
